Anyone Can Run
9 weeks | 3 sessions per week | 1 hour per session
Regular intakes throughout the year
Starting 30th September at Henley Lake, gradually increase your unbroken running distance and time from short intervals of 1 minute to 30 minutes of unbroken running.
Suitable for most fitness levels, go at our pace or your own.
Kids can come free providing you take care of them and they are capable of going the distance.
What is the "Anyone Can Run" programme?
The Mindset “Anyone Can Run” programme is based on the tried and tested Couch to 5K programme. This programme has been used my thousands of runners across the world to get them started or to get them back into running for 30 minutes.
It’s basically a conditioning programme that starts out small intervals and gradually takes you to 30 minutes of continuous running.
Who can join in?
Any one, any age can join in. There’s just a few things to note. If you are injured this is not a great place to start, you will need to rehab your injury first.
You will need to be in reasonable health and able to push your heart rate a little as the intervals get longer. You can be any size or any fitness level though, I was 127kg and an asthmatic when I became a runner and age 48. I had totally written off running as an enjoyable sport.
Can I bring my kids?
Absolutely! I wish I’d learned how to train to run when I was a kid. Kids under 18 can come along and do the programme for free.
Your kids will need to be able to keep up with you in the session so it might not be wise to bring really small children unless they are in a running stroller.
One of our clients brought their child and then they both completed 10km at round the bays last year.
What is the commitment?
The programme is a 9 week programme consisting of 3 runs per week. You can do the runs with the group or by yourself (join us in the group and online). You need to do 3 runs per week. I will show you how to use a running app to log your runs and you can share your lone runs with us so we can cheer you on. We are flexible and we support each other.
What if I can't make a session?
The programme is flexible, you can do any sessions you miss by yourself and check in for accountability. The coach offers advice and support via email, group and in person at the sessions, we try to make the sessions work for everyone.
So if I can do it by myself why should I join up?
Some people need accountability to stick to the programme. If the going gets tough and there’s no one there to help, we can often feel like giving up. The coach offers helpful advice and support when the going gets tough and the group offer helpful advice to each other.
So how do I join in?
Book in below for the next intake. You can pay in person using cash each week, by weekly subscription or pay outright for the whole thing up front, using cash, card or Afterpay, whichever is easier.
What if i want to continue with the group?
Once we’ve got you to 5k you can carry on and go up to 10K and beyond.
We will support you to reach your running goals.
Each block will offer beginner, intermediate and advanced runners the programming they need.
If you just want to run for fun and keep with the group for accountability but don’t want further coaching, you can still come along for a reduced rate once you have made it to the 30 minutes. Come and do a warm up, do your run and then cool down at the end.
Disclipline, regularity and fitness is the key to enjoying your running life.
Do you offer any accessory programmes?
I offer strength based sessions at my home gym for runners. These cost extra but are at a special rate for anyone on the programme.
It is important as do more runinning to build strong muscles and work on any weaknesses that often show themselves as you progress, especially if you plan on doing distance or trail running.
