About Me

I accidentally found fitness, or should I say fitness found me. Like all good stories it started with a chance meeting with a client in a coffee shop.

I was 132kg at the time with a lifetime of avoiding any kind of gym or fitness regime. I couldn’t even do a full depth squat. I’d spent my life yo-yo dieting.

Fast forward 5 years and I’m now a fully qualified personal trainer and functional fitness coach. I served my apprenticeship at SASSfit in Masterton under my coach and mentor Rima. I have a small home based studio in Solway, Masterton but can come to clients. I offer 1:1 personal training, small group classes, strength and functional training and personalised programming.

I have experience of working with my own neurodivergent body from obesity to athlete. My studio is set up to minimise sensory issues. You’ll find me motivational and non judgemental. I want to offer exercise to those who do not fit the traditional gym environment.

About Mindset

I am passionate about developing all aspects of people. It’s very satisfying to see a client become confident in their own skin, by becoming a fitter version of themselves.

Becoming a coach and personal trainer became the next logical step for me after smashing my own goals and developing a passion for fitness. It feels amazing to be able to just do the things that were beyond me in day to day life.

As a mature personal trainer, I understand the needs of older clients, those with challenges that face them on their fitness journey, and people with neurodiversity. These are my passion areas. I’m also hugely into mobility and movement.  I also enjoy working with women as they approach the menopause which poses its own unique challenges – believe me I know.

I set up Mindset to create a space for these clients, a space of understanding, no judgement and plenty of opportunity and potential.
